It reminded me of a scene from a small village in Europe when all the neighbouring kids turned up to congratulate Jodine on her wedding day, a merry sight! Then the first rains of summer started just as we left the church on the way to the couple's photo shoot, but they didn't seem to mind at all and bravely defied the elements. Buford and Jodine, I loved working with you and pray that the rain will be a sign of blessing and growth in your love for each other!

Roland & Elanti, 16 October - Windhoek
When a couple wants to use a prop in their photo's, I always suggest that they choose something that has personal value to them, thus making it more unique and special. In the past I've had golf clubs, a guitar and even cups of coffee! In Elanti's case the star of the show was her favourite cat. And what an actor it was. It was difficult to decide on which one I should focus, the Beauty or the Beast (Sorry, Roland, I mean the cat, not you!! But you were quite a star yourself I must admit! )
Jacques & Karin, 2 October - Windhoek
Karin saw the photos I took at her friends' wedding day and was adamant that I'd be their wedding photographer as well, in spite of the fact that I couldn't confirm till much later that I'd be in the country on that day. So guys, thank you so much for being patient with me, I'm honored that you had that much faith in me and glad that you liked the results!!

Jaco & Wanda, 25 September - Windhoek
Pink champagne...different...fun, fun, fun!!! When I think of Jaco and Wanda's wedding, those are the key words that come to mind. Jaco and his family were some of the very first friends I made when I came to Windhoek 6 years ago and it was really a privilege to be asked to do their wedding photo's- and a bit nerve wrecking as well! But what a joy it turned out to be. To start off in a coffee shop and end up at a graffiti wall was surely an exciting first for me as far as venues go. Thanks guys, your spontaneity and relaxed attitude made my job a pleasure. I pray that the love and happiness that was so easy to capture on your wedding day will always be a part of your life.
